An artist with

Ink-stained hands,

Racing thoughts,

Silent tears.

Everybody loves a poem.

Beautifully penned,

Uplifting in rhythm,

Metaphorical

Words that rhyme.

Everybody loves a song.

Lifting their voices

In poetic performance,

Forgetting the verses

Each time.

Everyone loves a poet.

Humanity’s weakness

Spilled on the page.

The poet’s story

Composing the lyrics.

Everyone loves a song.

Harmoniously they join

In the chorus.

Even the poet is found

Humming along.

Everyone loves a poem.

Everyone loves the poet.

Everyone sings her song.

But nobody

Knows the music.
